First off, let me just thank you for checking out my hubs. My hope is that each hub is informative, interesting, and can hopefully help you in some way.
My name is Jim. I live and work in Marin County, CA. I work as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, specializing in sports-related injuries. On a daily basis I see diagnoses of all types, including but definitely not limited to: neck pain, shoulder pain, low-back pain, knee pain, and the common ankle sprain.
I have combined my knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and biomechanics with my passion for surfing to emphasize treatment in surfing-athletes. Over the years I have become acclimated to treating surfing related injuries (and other injuries that keep surfers out of the water). I have also become a big advocate of preventing surfing-related injuries via proper training. I take great pride with helping injured surfers return to the water.
Besides surfers, I treat folks from all walks of life. Typical goals that I have helped individuals achieve include returning to normal ambulation, completing a first marathon, and regaining the ability to launch a 90+mph fastball. There is nothing better in the realm of Physical Therapy than watching someone achieve (and even exceed) their goal(s).
I received my Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Chapman University, in Orange CA.
